Use a turf rake and hand tamper to smooth and compact the base surface.

Step 1: Prepare the base

Clear the surface area where the base of your grass will be placed. If used outdoors; remove anything unwanted (ex: old grass), then use your turf rake and hand tamper to smooth and compact the base surface.

Carefully place your grass into position

Step 2: Position your grass

Once the base is prepared, it is recommended you use marking paint to visually plan out the installation of you new grass.

Trim your grass to the desired shape, keeping the grain in the same direction.

Step 3: Trim to size

After placing your grass in position; customize installation using a utility knife to carefully trim your grass to the desired size and shape, keeping the grain pointed in the same direction.

Once aligned, fold back edges to place seaming cloth and adhesive.

Step 4: Glue together seams

Align 2 pieces of grass with grain in the same direction. Once aligned, fold back edges to place seaming cloth and adhesive. Lay seaming cloth entire length of seam, then apply adhesive liberally and evenly.

Drive Landscape Stakes approximately every 6"- 8" along perimeter.

Step 5: Secure in place

Secure edges by driving Landscape Stakes approximately every 6″- 8″ along perimeter. For large installations additional landscape stakes should be used to reinforce long seams and placed where needed.

Use a Turf Rake to brush bristle fibers upright.
